Williamson County TX Jail Visitation

There are certain visitation times that have been put in place by the staff at this jail facility. Therefore, as long as an inmate does not have a court order that forbids any visitations, inmates can have visits from family and loved ones during their scheduled visitation times. In fact, inmates are asked quickly after being booked to fill out an inmate visitation form to begin receiving visits from people who are not family. They are given space for five friends that can visit. Attorneys can see incarcerated individuals any time of the day or week. However, a bar card is required to enter.

If you are interested in visiting an inmate at the Williamson County Texas Jail, keep in mind that you will need to arrive at least 15 minutes before the visitation begins. Once you enter the waiting area, you will need to check in with an up-to-date and valid state I.D. You are only allowed to enter the facility with your car keys and identification, so it is important that you do not bring any other items inside with you. A typical visit lasts around 20 minutes.

A kiosk with a camera is available in the facility, or you can use your computer or cellular device at home to visit the incarcerated inmate. If you choose to do this, there will be an additional cost for using this type of service.

Here are the guidelines for visiting an inmate at this jail:

  • Individuals 18 or older must show an up-to-date I.D.
  • Attorneys can visit at any time if they have a bar card
  • Visitation times can change at any time
  • Individuals under 14 need to be accompanied by a parent
  • Individuals 15-16 need to be accompanied by an adult
  • Visitors can only bring identification and car keys inside the facility
  • There are only two visits each week, and they last for 20 minutes

There is also a dress code when you arrive for visitations, which means you can be turned away if you are not dressed appropriately for your visitation appointment. The following are the items of clothing you are not allowed to wear while visiting an incarcerated individual in this facility:

  • Sleeveless tops or shirts
  • See-through clothes
  • Undergarments cannot be showing
  • Skirts and shorts must be at least above the middle of the thigh
  • Gang clothing or items promoting gangs

If you are traveling over two hours for a visitation, you may be able to schedule a special visitation, but you must do so at least a week ahead of time.
